To the families we serve,

First and foremost, from all of us at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, we want to say that we are here for you. As a community, we have all felt the devastating impacts of COVID-19. It has always been our mission to offer support during life’s most difficult moments, and provide meaningful services that celebrate and honor the lives of your loved ones in the way they deserve. We remain committed to operating as normal and offering uninterrupted service to ensure that the families we’re working with during this time are receiving adequate attention and high-quality services.

Our team takes great pride in caring for the families we serve and work tirelessly to provide you with a meaningful tribute for your loved one. We also provide you with the proper resources to grieve, not just for today, but for the weeks and months to come. Through the creation of customized online memorials where visitors can share memories and condolences, producing personal tribute videos that can be played at the service or online, and offering daily grief support emails, our team is here to help you through these challenging times.

It is our goal to memorialize your loved ones in a special way, while respecting the unique challenges of the crisis we’re facing. We continue to serve one family at a time to ensure that you’re able to use our entire historic chapel during the arrangements for your loved ones. We understand how overwhelming these times can be, and our team at Hamel-Lydon Chapel is here to provide our support.

Given the unprecedented reality of the COVID-19 pandemic, we all share a responsibility to protect our community, and we must do our part in limiting the exposure of this virus. As we’ve been working closely with local and national government officials to stay up-to-date with relevant information, all of our services will comply with the guidelines they have provided.

We’re also taking the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff, and the public. These are just a few of the steps we’ve implemented:

Sanitizing facilities often, especially common areas including the front desk, doorknobs, and restrooms

Encouraging arrangements to be made virtually when possible via phone or email

Limiting the gathering sizes to meet state and federal mandates

Whether you choose to schedule gatherings within the current allowable guidelines or arrange services for a later date, we’ll stand by you each step of the way. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Sincerely,

The entire team at Hamel-Lydon Chapel
