How To Celebrate CNA Week

CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) week is June 16th-22nd! This year's theme is "I'm Still Standing," demonstrating the hard work and dedication nurses everywhere have made over the last two years! This week, it is important to honor and appreciate the work nursing assistants do in all types of facilities that offer patient care. Whether they work in nursing homes, assisted living, or a hospital, it is vital to recognize what they do for us and others every day. Take a look at four reasons to celebrate CNA week and what you can do to give back to nursing assistants near you!

4 Reasons To Celebrate CNA Week

Here are four reasons to celebrate CNA week in your community!

It Honors Their Heroism and Dedication

Being a nursing assistant is no easy task, especially during the pandemic. Over these last two years, CNAs need our support more than ever. Their continued commitment to patient care has not gone unnoticed during these difficult times. They deal with many things that can be uneasy or challenging yet remain positive and warmhearted towards their patients. They deserve all the love & support now more than ever and deserve this week dedicated to them!

It Shows Your Appreciation and That You Care For Others

Celebrating CNA week and honoring our strong nursing assistants shows others your compassion and appreciation. Whether your close friend is a nurse, one of your family members is one, or you want to appreciate the nurses in your local hospital, it shows how compassionate you are. Letting others see your supportive side is a great thing and lets them know you don't take things for granted. Giving back to CNAs is a great way to show the world you care and are thankful for all they do.

Recognizing CNA's Makes Them Happy and Want To Stay At Their Jobs

When we support CNAs and recognize all the hard work they do daily for patients in need, it makes them happy and they can realize that they truly are making a difference in this world. When they recognize this, they will want to remain at their jobs caring for patients in need. Some days it can be hard for them to stay positive after going through what they go through daily. They are always on their feet and come home tired after long shifts. When they get the support and love they need during CNA week, they appreciate their jobs and understand their importance.

By Showing The World You Care, It Spreads The Love Throughout Your Community

When you celebrate CNA week, you let your community know how caring you are. Posting signs in your workplace or outside your home dedicated to how much you respect nursing assistants causes others to do the same. Spreading love and support can be contagious; many more will follow suit once one person starts. Become a leader and take a step in supporting and recognizing the hard work nurses do for their patients today!
