Edward J. Dever

Dever, Edward J., 91, of Quincy passed away October 31, 2018.  Husband of the late Agnes (Neville) Dever.  Father of William Dever of Abington, Joseph Dever of Quincy, Edward Dever of Quincy and the late Marie Dever and late Anne Cristiani and her husband Michael of Quincy. Brother of Mary Keefe of Dedham.  Proud Grampy to Kristina Dever, Andrea Cristiani, Colleen Dever, and Maggie Cristiani.

Ed was born in Boston, graduated from BC High in 1945 and completed two years at Boston College. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and worked as a Postman in Dorchester Center for many years.  He loved The Vineyard, coaching little league baseball, playing the piano and spending time with his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday November 6th at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Parish, 386 Hancock St. in Quincy. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington.  Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5pm to 7pm at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St. in Quincy.
