Eugene Piazza Jr.

Eugene Piazza, 88, of Quincy passed away on February 11, 2019.   He is survived by his son Jeffrey and wife Jean of Wellesley, MA; his daughter Janet and husband Paul Hennessey of Londonderry, NH; his son in law, Perry Jones, of Fall River, MA; and his brother Dan and wife Joyce of Barrington, IL.  He is predeceased by his daughter Katherine.  He is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Gene was born on April 29, 1930 to Sylvia (Schildt) and Eugene Piazza Sr. in Aurora, IL.  He attended Harvard University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and then received his law degree from Harvard Law School.  He later also received an MBA.  He worked at a variety of occupations throughout his career from practicing law, consulting, and teaching.  He spent many years teaching at Quincy College.  He enjoyed time with family and friends and experiencing everything life had to offer from skiing, sailing, golfing, acting, and ballroom dancing.  He had a pilot’s license, hosted a show at QATV, and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

Services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Hamel-Lydon Chapel at 650 Hancock St., Wollaston, MA.  Visiting hour is at 10:00 followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
