Frank J. McTighe, 60, of Holbrook, passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, on Thursday, November 29, 2018, in Wareham. He was the longtime loving companion to Cindy Bursey of Holbrook.
Born on October 28, 1958 in Cambridge, Frank was the devoted son of the late John O. and Bridget (Walsh) McTighe.
Frank was raised in Quincy and attended Quincy Public Schools. He was a member of the Class of 1976 from Quincy Vocational Technical High School.
Following graduation, Frank bravely enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country with honor from 1976-1980, respectfully achieving the rank of PV2. While in the service, Frank’s specialty was primarily in the trades of carpentry and masonry.
For many years, Frank worked as a professional carpenter.
In addition to his longtime companion, Frank is survived by his twin brother, John T. McTighe; his sisters, Sally McTighe, Jayne DeCosta, and Marylou Porzio and her husband James; his nieces and nephews, Robert McTighe, Matt Kelly, Cherie McKinnon, and Michael and Meghan Porzio; also many cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Relative and friends are cordially invited to attend Frank’s visiting hours on Friday, December 14th, from 10 am- 12 noon, at Hamel-Lydon Chapel and Cremation Service, 650 Hancock St., Quincy, during which time a wake service will be offered. Internment to follow at Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter St., Norwood.
