Paul McGovern Obituary

McGovern, Paul F., 57, of Abington, passed away September 6, 2019. Devoted husband of Josie (Ng) McGovern.  Loving father of Asia and Augustus McGovern both of Carver.  Beloved stepfather of Fiona Molloy and her husband Joshua of Hanover and their son Ronan.  Son of Francis McGovern of West Bridgewater and the late Mary McGovern.  Nephew of Frank Maloney of Quincy and Edward Sullivan of Dorchester.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Paul was raised in So. Weymouth and attended Weymouth High School.  He enjoyed driving his Harley Davidson Fat Boy and Trike and tending to the gardens they planted around their home.  Paul also loved to travel with his wife both across country and abroad. He was an animal lover, caring for and adopting many animals through the years.  A skilled chef, he loved to cook and experimented with techniques and ingredients to create unique dishes. He enjoyed cooking with his team at Ocean Spray.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Monday September 9th at 11:30am at Blue Hills Cemetery, 700 West St. in Braintree. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9am to 11am at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel & Cremation Service of MA, 650 Hancock St. in Quincy.
