William Lane Obituary

It is with immense sadness that we announce that William (Bill) Lane, 77, of Wakefield and formerly of Dedham, passed away peacefully during the morning hours of Thursday, June 27, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, parents Marian and William Lane Sr., and his sisters Jane and Barbara.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Lane and granddaughter, Emily Lane of Wakefield, as well as his sister-in-law, Mary-Ann Farese and nephew, Michael Farese of Saugus, his fuzzy companion Theodore “Teddy”, and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of William to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org

William was an avid sports fan and a hardworking, kind, hilarious, and “spunky” (as he would say) man with only great things to say to, and about, everyone he came across. He was a proud father and grandfather; he never failed to express how proud he was of his daughter’s academic achievements within her three graduate degrees, as with his granddaughter getting into college and everything she has accomplished so far. The loss of his wife left him with a broken heart, but now it is mended as he is now dancing and laughing eternally with the love of his life.  Services are private.

The family would like to thank Care Dimensions and Kaplan House for their care of William. He will be dearly missed.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
