OBITUARY

Ms. Yuting Zheng, daughter of Mr. Yueming Zheng and Mrs. Xiaozhen Wu, has unexpectedly passed away in her apartment on September 17th, 2019 at the age of 34.

Ms. Zheng had always been a sweet daughter to parents and good listener to friends. She cared others and had friends all over the world. Loving gathering and enjoying good, Ms. Zheng was the active leader among groups and organized events for everyone. She never hesitated when friends need any help. Not only she had good reputation in social circles, but also in school. Ms. Zheng was the top student since primary school. She’s focused, resilient and motivated to achieve academic goals.

In 2008 Ms. Zheng got her Bachelors' degree in Polymer Engineering from Tsinghua University. At the same year, she came to USA for further education, and obtained a Ph.D. degree from the University of Maryland College Park in 2013. With a respected Ph.D. degree, she didn’t stop pursuing higher academic achievement, she came to Boston, and continued doing research at MIT as a Postdoctoral Associate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. In 2015, Ms. Zheng joined Agios Pharmaceuticals as a full time scientist. She supported numerous programs over the years, she had an incredible skill at developing complicated analytical assays, many of which will be used for the foreseeable future across different teams she supported.

Outside of work, Ms. Zheng was an avid dragon boat racer for the past 4 years, racing with her beloved Tsinghua Alumni Association (THAA) team to bring home three medals in this season, including two Gold at the 2019 Boston Dragon Boat Festival. Ms. Zheng was also an active volunteer for THAA-Boston. She had attended and contributed greatly in numerous events in the past 4 years.

Ms. Yuting Zheng will have a private ceremony and memorial on September 29, 2019 from 2-3:30pm, at 254 Quarry Street, Quincy, MA, 02169. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ms. Yuting Zheng's life. Please arrive on time. Agios Pharmaceuticals公司科学家，清华化学工程系04级校友郑郁婷女士不幸于二零一九年九月十七日在家中英年早逝，终年三十四岁。

郑郁婷女士2004年本科就读于清华大学化学工程系，毕业后赴美留学，并于2013年取得马里兰大学化学工程博士学位，主要研究代谢工程方向。2014年，她在麻省理工学院继续化学工程专业博士后深造，随后于2015年加入Agios Pharmaceuticals成为科学家至今。在公司期间，因工作表现突出，广受老板与同事好评，并获得各种荣誉嘉奖。

郑郁婷女士也是一位兴趣爱好广泛并积极参加文体活动的人。她拥有主持人的才华，在马里兰求学期间，经常在华府主持清华校友会的各种大型晚会。来到波士顿后，她也是波士顿校友会活跃的志愿者。她还连续四年担任清华波士顿校友会龙舟队的首席桨手，作为龙舟队的核心灵魂人物，带领团队于2019年拿下了两金的好成绩。
