Alfred Charles Baskin, Sr., age 59 passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2018, at Quincy Rehabilitation Center in Quincy, Massachusetts after a long-term illness. He was born December 11, 1958, in Greenville Mississippi, to the late William and Letha Baskin. He accepted Christ at the tender age of ten and was Baptized. He was a 1977 Graduate of Greenville High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College. He worked as a Building Foreman and as a Building Renovator. He was the youngest of 14 siblings. Alfred loved to dress. He was loving, kind, gentle and sensitive. He also appreciated a good hardy joke, he loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh, he was quite a funny fellow.
Alfred will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Alfred C. Baskin, Jr. of Boston and CoDantryll D. Baskin of Matteson, IL., by his brother Eddie (Daisey) Johnson of Chicago, IL., and four sisters, Zubaidah (Ameen) Azim of Hollywood, FL., Linda (Donald) Vanderhurst of Bolingbrook, IL., LaVerne Baskin of Matteson, IL., and Patricia Baskin of Peoria, IL. Alfred will also be forever remembered by his numerous Nieces, Nephews and extended family and friends. Alfred was preceded in death by his Parents, three Brothers, Ned Harris, Tommy Baskin and William Baskin, Jr.; five sisters Gladys Bell, Raechelle Davensi, Elsie Miller, Deloris Mason and Betty Ledlow.
