Allan Smith

Allan E. Smith of Halifax passed away April 13th.  Husband of Margaret Smith (Greenleaf) of Halifax.  Loving father of Laura Murphy and her husband John of Quincy, Pamela Wildeman and her husband Roy Jr. and Diana Daigle and her husband Stephen of Thornton, NH.  Brother of Edward Smith.  Brother-in-Law of Paula Smith of Stoughton, William Hayes and his wife Joanna of Stoughton and the late Richard Smith and Elizabeth Hayes.  Cherished Grandfather of Meredith, Amanda, Sarah Grace Murphy, Clara, Lucy and Dashel Wildeman, Brynn and Shea Daigle.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews as well as Peggy’s children and grandchildren. 

Allan was born in Boston and raised in Mattapan and Dorchester before moving to Stoughton.  He was a graduate of Boston Latin High School and Babson College.  Allan was a sales manager for food brokering companies before he co-founded Mobile X-ray Co. based in Stoughton.  He served as CEO before retiring in 2007.  He enjoyed Summers on Sebago Lake and skiing Loon Mtn.   A special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses at BID Hospital, Plymouth that cared for Allan so compassionately.  At the family’s request service will be private.
