Barbara Ann Troy

Barbara Ann Troy, age 91, died peacefully at her home in Beverly, MA surrounded by her children.  

Beloved wife of the late Robert M. Troy.  Cherished mother of Anthony E. and Catherine Troy of Millis, Kathleen M. Troy of Beverly, Colleen M. Salmon and her husband Thomas of Brighton, Michele R. Daly and her husband Sean of Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Caryn L. Gallagher and her husband Colin of Beverly.  Sister of the late Robert, Thomas, Edward and Donald Troy.  Loving Nana of Kristen Collatos and her husband Angelo of Franklin, Laura Troy and her fiancé Andrew Aloma of Milford, Jenna Morrell and her husband Adam of Franklin, Kathryn Buanno and her husband Andrew of Franklin, William Salmon and his wife Ariane of West Roxbury, Ashley Rodio and her husband James of Millis, Alison Lair and her husband Trevor of Medway, Aidan Gallagher of Beverly, Ava Gallagher of Beverly, Joseph Daly of Manchester-by-the-Sea and Christopher Daly of Manchester-by-the-Sea. Dear great-grandmother of Madeline and Rose Salmon, Elsie and Harriet Lair, James and Thomas Rodio, Eiley and Elena Collatos and Jack Morrell.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Longtime former employee of St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.  Barbara was known for her generosity, compassion and kind words for anyone in need. She was a dedicated mother as well as a wise mentor to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a woman of tremendous faith and prayed the Rosary  daily. Barbara passed on her steadfast beliefs, wisdom and spirit of charity to her family. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 62 School St, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA 01944, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Troy may be made to Day by Day Adult Care, Inc., Recreation Fund c/o Martha Rappoli, 4R Blackburn Center, Gloucester, MA 01930.
