Caroline Anita (Aprile) Dickey

Caroline “Carol” Anita Dickey (Aprile) of Abington, MA, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Somerville, MA. She was the devoted wife of the late Melvin “Mel” J. Dickey who passed in 2019 and with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. Daughter of the late Ercole Aprile and Caroline Aprile Geiser. She is survived by her children Kathleen M. Parnell of Battle Mountain NV, Carolyn A. Chabot & Rick Carpenter of Weymouth, MA, Joseph R. Dickey & Linda Dickey of Mayo, FL, Kenneth M. Dickey & Brenda Dickey of Brockton, MA and the late John R. Dickey. The sister of late Mary Traniello, Somerville, MA, survived by Pauline Perry, Somerville, MA, Dolores Sinclair, Abington, MA and the late Lucille Aprile. Loving grandmother to Stephen Matthew Chabot of Quincy, MA, Ryan Dickey of Mayo, FL, Michael Dickey of Old Town, FL and great grandmother to Theo Dickey of Mayo, FL as well 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren. Caroline also leaves behind her beloved cat Casper and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Caroline is dancing with Mel, laughing with John and chasing her beloved Papillon, “Reggie” and all her other pets who crossed the Rainbow Bridge through her life.
