Christine (Thompson) Polleys

Christine Thompson Polleys passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023 at age 93 at Wingate

Nursing Home. Born on March 28, 1930 in Montgomery, Alabama to Leonard Forney

Thompson and Addie Mae Thompson (McCray), she was one of 8 siblings raised in Anniston,

AL. She was a longtime resident of Pembroke, Massachusetts and had many friends at The

Settlement At Mayflower Court. An active member of Hanson Baptist Church, she participated

in the Helping Hands group and sung in the choir. A graduate of Anniston High School, she

held many jobs in her life, including picking cotton with her brothers and sisters, parachutes at

Fort McClellan, the PX at Fort Bragg and key punch operator at Cigna Insurance. She is

survived by: her sons Steven C. Polleys, Eric T. Polleys and Craig A. Polleys, as well as many

grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. A

memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church 214 Main Street, Hanson MA on

Saturday November 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
