Chung Ngan Chow (Zou) 邹宗银, of Quincy, a devoted family man, businessman, and restauranteur known for his benevolence and compassion, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025 in Quincy following a period of declining health. He was 94.
Born in Chang Le, Fujian, China, he was the son of the late Yigong Zou (邹义拱) and Xueying Lin (林雪英). It was in Chang Le where he met and married his beloved wife, Ying Ying Zheng (郑莺英), and together they began their family.

For many years, Mr. Zou owned and operated Chinese restaurants in Wayland and later in Boston’s South End. Within the Fuzhou Chinese American community, he was well known, deeply respected, and dearly loved. He will be remembered as a humble, selfless man who lived by his guiding principle: “Do as much good as you can, and help as many people as you can.”
Mr. Zou was the devoted husband of 70 years to Ying Ying Zheng. He was the loving father of David Yi Zou (邹毅) and his wife Shelly Zou (车清) of Quincy, Chaomei Zou (邹超美) and her husband Shushao Chen (陈书邵) of Braintree, and Chaohang Zou (邹超航) and her husband Dawei Qi (齐大为) of Framingham. He was the cherished grandfather of Ming Chen, Jessica C. Zou and her husband Frank A. Stevens, Vivian C. Zou, Alex D. Qi, and Brendan D. Qi.
