David Joseph Mann sadly passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, after battling many health issues and challenges. He was 67.
David was a long-time resident of Quincy. He worked various jobs as a maintenance worker, cab driver and was part of a work crew involved in helping with the clean-up after hurricane Katrina in 2005-2006. Dave loved to find interesting things that nature would produce and enjoyed making and shaping walking canes while finding these gifts of nature. He loved to laugh; he loved his family and loved a good “steak-n-cheese sub”. His family would like to express their gratitude to all his friends, doctors, therapists and ride share drivers that helped him get to and from his appointments.
Dave was the son of the late Ivy Mann-Macdonald and Robert Mann and he was the stepson of the late Donald Macdonald. Dave was the brother of Steven Mann, Kenneth Mann and his longtime girlfriend Sandra Curry, all from Quincy, Frank Macdonald and his wife Susan from Cohasset and Debra Mann of Quincy. Dave was predeceased by his brothers Robert Mann and Christorpher Mann and his sister Donna Mann-Hurley. He was the uncle to Robert Mann Jr. and his wife Ashley of Weymouth, Micheal Mann and his wife Ashley of Attleboro, Christopher Mann Jr. of Quincy. He also was the uncle to Martha, Frannie, Avery and Ryan. Dave loved all his aunts and uncles, especially his extended family from Newfoundland, Canada.
Dave is at peace with his mom and dad.
