David Yeung Wai Hui 許揚威 Obituary

David Yeung Wai Hui 許揚威, 73, of Randolph, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love, comfort and care of his family on November 19, 2024.

Born in Toishan, Guangdong, China, he was the loving husband to Winnie Lai Fun (Ho) Hui. Beloved father of Connie Hui and her husband Kenny Quon, Eric Hui and his wife Tamara (Dallier) Hui and Tony Hui and his partner Michael Terasconi. Cherished grandfather of Chloe, Connor and Colin Quon.

David and Winnie immigrated to America and started their family in Boston, where they raised their 3 children before moving to Randolph. Since the late 1970s, David had been the owner of the Wai Wai Restaurant chain in Boston Chinatown, where “Wai Wai’s chicken” was a well-known comfort food and a signature rice plate for many hungry patrons. David was very active and respected in Chinatown social circles, which included him serving as Chairman of the Chew-Lun Family Association in Boston.
