Dori Leite Obituary

Dori (Parmentier) Leite, age 57, passed away on Saturday January 31, 2026, while vacationing in her favorite place, Aruba. She was born in Pawtucket, RI to the late Edward Parmentier and Carol (Chateauneuf) Parmentier, where she was raised for 12 years before moving to Seekonk, MA in 1980, residing there for the majority of her life. Dori was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter George Leite, and her in-laws, Arthur Leite and Demetra (Stephanopoulos) Leite. She is survived by her 4 children, Todd, Demi, David, and Carina; 12 grandchildren; brother, Edward Todd Parmentier, his wife, Carol and their 3 children, along with an abundance of other family and friends.

Dori graduated from Seekonk High School in 1980. She spent most of her adult years being a homemaker and a stay-at-home mother. She was a loving and generous woman with a remarkably funny personality. Her hobbies and interests were widely varied. She enjoyed spending her time outside, whether she was hunting in Maine or tanning on the beach. She loved watching and attending sports games with her husband, Peter, especially the New England Patriots. Many of her favorite memories were also spent alongside her best friend, Katy Stephanopoulos. Her creative mind led to her being naturally great at crafts, problem solving, puzzles, and board games, with her favorite being backgammon. She enjoyed traveling with loved ones, while also being fond of a simple night in, watching her favorite detective shows while her husband lovingly gave her nightly foot massages. Above all, she cherished time spent laughing with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren.

She is, and will continue to be, greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
