Edward J. Coffey, Sr.

Edward J. Coffey, Sr., 81, of Quincy, passed away February 20, 2021 at Season’s Hospice and Palliative Care in Milton.

Mr. Coffey served his country with honor in the US Army during the war in Vietnam and was discharged with the rank SP4.

Born in Boston he was a son of the late George G. & Lucia (Provenzano) Coffey.  Ed worked as a packer for the Gillette company in South Boston for many years.

Father of the late Edward J Coffey, Jr. and Susan M Quigley of Quincy and her husband Kenneth J. Quigley. Grandfather of Heather Quigley and Julie Quiqley, both of Quincy. Brother of Janet, Richard, George and Paul Coffey, he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends and cordially invited to attend his visitation Thursday February 25, 2021 from 9:30-11:00am at Hamel-Lydon Chapel & Cremation Service of Mass. Funeral will immediately follow beginning at 11:00am.  Burial with military honors will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St, Braintree.
