Eileen Anderson Obituary

Eileen M. Anderson, 69, of Braintree formerly of Quincy passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday October 25, 2025 following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Cahill) Anderson.

Raised on Apthorp Street in Quincy, Eileen was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Cahill) Anderson. She attended Quincy schools and was a 1973 graduate of the Woodward School for Girls. The following year she married the love of her life, Steven Cioffi, and the couple moved to Jamaica Plain for a short time, living in the family’s triple decker as they started their family.

Eileen excelled as an Administrative Assistant and worked in that capacity for various companies while raising her family.  She was an avid Boston sports fan -especially the Red Sox- and rarely missed watching a game. Those closest to her will always remember her passion for life, her love of coffee, her appreciation for classic contemporary music like Sonny and Cher, her penchant for collecting vinyl records, and love of the book and movie, “Gone with the Wind.” She also enjoyed watching soap operas, with “All my Children” being among her favorites.

Mother of Alisha Ritchie-Phayre and her companion Mark Demeo of Weymouth, Karl Berner and his companion Kendra Recht of Canton, and her feline child, Alaina. Grandmother of Gabrielle Barahona of Weymouth. Sister of Carolyn Anderson of Fall River and Helen Anderson of Spencer. Sadly she was preceded in death by a five year old son, Tony, in 1980, and by her former husband, Steven Cioffi, in 2000.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her visiting hours and celebration of life service on Wednesday October 29, 2025 from 12:00noon to 2:00pm at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy. All other service details are private.
