Sister of Edmund RJ Palsic, Jr of Abington and the late Steven Palsic. Grandmother of Rachel A. Watson, Anthony E. Wilson and Michaela A. D’Angelico. Also survived her great-grandchildren Camden, Caleb, Carter, Chance and Colton. Evelyn adored her late pets Paleface, Cookie, Kimba, Kitty and many others . She is also survived by her friend Nancy at Garden Terrace, Rockland
About Mom, she was a Member of the Weymouth Grange. She was an Advanced Equestrian Rider. Evelyn spent many hours at the Weymouth Fairgrounds around horses, working and riding, in fact her parents bought her first horse when she was 8 years old. Graduate of Weymouth High 1956. After graduating, Evelyn enlisted in the U.S. Army. After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, Evelyn was a jack of all trades and would use her skills in an array of occupations from clerical to school bus driver to an LPN with the Deaconess Hospital & Home Health Aide for chronically disabled patients to a machine operator where she retired from 3M in Rockland. Evelyn enjoyed bowling, where she would be part of many leagues throughout her life, she was the recipient of many bowling trophies and had an average of 165. Evelyn was pleased to know that her residence in Quincy in 1979 was next door to a horse barn, she was in her glory! It was there she met the infamous “Paleface” her favorite horse which she leased for a few years but continued to talk about in her stories for decades to come, she was so fond of that horse. Aside from riding horses, Evelyn rode an iron horse, she started out riding dirt bikes when she was a kid, with her brothers, then moved up to mopeds, then motorcycles. She enjoyed getting out for a ride on her motorcycle whether it be a short cruise alone or with her members of the South Shore Hog riding club on a run to Laconia, NH or down to Daytona, FL. Evelyn always could be found in the kitchen cooking up a delicious meal after a hard day’s work for her family and would enjoy baking yummy treats for her grandchildren, for family holidays and even for her auto mechanics at the garage. Some of her favorites were Snickerdoodle cookies and her Jewish Apple cake recipes. Whenever anyone would stop by for a visit, family, friends, home health aides and doctors, she would always ask them, would you like a cup of coffee, it’s nice and hot, extending her hospitality was what she did. Most of her time after retirement was spent with her cat Kitty, doing the crossword puzzles, drinking a hot cup of coffee while The Walton’s or Heartland (her 2 favorite shows) would be playing in the background. Anyone that ever met Evelyn knew she was so kind, hospitable, hard working and always said she was a “hot ticket”, the stories she could tell and her extraordinary sense of humor kept everyone laughing. Evelyn was always focused on the well being of her family and her pets, boy did she have the biggest heart for all animals. She will be deeply missed by many and will be overjoyed to reunite with her loved ones that preceded her in heaven.
