Francis P. Arena III (57) of Braintree, MA, passed away, after a long battle with a chronic illness.
A former member of the Tunnel Workers Local # 88. Passed away with the love of his family
and friends on August 3rd , 2024. Frank was known for his unwavering kindness, dedicated
many years to his craft before retiring.
Franks love for his family and friends was paramount, and he often expressed it through simple,
yet profound acts of care. Frank had the honor of taking on the role of raising his three nieces.
Franks approach to life was straightforward and he helped others alone the way. His legacy will
continue in the hearts of those that loved him. Frank loved to take his motorcycle out for long
rides whether alone or in a group with his friends.
Frank will be deeply missed but the memories of his loving spirit will forever live in the hearts of
his family and friends.
Franks is predeceased by his parents Christine Watkins and Francis P Arena Jr. and his loving
sister Lori Arena Burgess and Uncle Robert Woodyard.
He is forever loved by his family: Stepfather/Friend Frederick Watkins of Easton, MA, Nieces
Christine Burgess, Erin Burgess, Zoie Burgess and partner Liz Scheurich all of Weymouth, MA,
Kimberly Burgess and great niece Alexis Maddrey of Quincy, MA, Aunt Kathy Woodyard of
Plymouth, MA and The Taylor Family of Quincy and Brockton, MA, and dear friend Lorraine
King & Family of Quincy, MA, Frank was also loved by many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and
Friends.
Family and Friends are respectfully invited to Blue Hills Cemetery on September 6 th @ 11:00am
for a graveside memorial service (please arrive to the cemetery by 10:45am). Immediately
following the services please join Franks family in celebrating his life at the Morrisette Post 81-
83 Liberty Street Quincy, MA 02169. (Blue Hill Cemetery 700 West St. Braintree, MA 02184)
