Gary S. Solomon (78) passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. Born in Boston to Josef and Shirley (Levin) Solomon. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Burns) Solomon. Father of Jeffrey Solomon of Quincy and Eric Solomon and his wife, Andrea, of Easton and grandfather to Nathan Solomon and Madeline Solomon of Easton.
Gary was brother to Susan Dreyfus of Atlanta, GA, Howard Solomon and Marion Solomon both of Roslindale, David Solomon, Rebecca Solomon Giglio, Marsha Solomon Ashton, Leah Solomon Phillips, Anna Solomon Hosein, Rachel Solomon O’Sullivan, and the late Jack Solomon. Gary served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era, stationed in Florida at a dental clinic. He attended Quincy College and graduated from Suffolk University with a business degree. He worked in customer service for medical research products at New England Nuclear/Perkin Elmer with the National Institute of Health (NIH) being one of his primary accounts.
He was an avid sports fan especially of the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics. He enjoyed playing golf until his back and knees wouldn’t allow it anymore. His favorite pastime was grocery shopping after clipping coupon and reading the circulars for sales. He had many cats in his adult life, but Tuukka was his favorite.
