George Thomas McGuinness Jr

It is with heavy hearts and disbelief that the family of George Thomas McGuinness, Jr. 56 of Quincy announce his passing on July 17, 2024.

Born on October 3 rd , 1967 in Quincy, MA. George was the son of the late George T. McGuinness, Sr. and Margaret M. “Peggy” (Foley) McGuinness. He was born and raised in Germantown and lived in Quincy, MA all his life. He spent his career as a Floor installer, painter and carpenter. He was truly gifted and talented in his work. George was an avid sports fan. He was part of the class of 1985 at Quincy High School and a star athlete in Football. George is held in the highest regard by all who know him. You can’t say his name without hearing “He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met and he has a heart of gold.” Rest in the sweetest of peace Geo, you are now in the arms of your mother. May you find peace and comfort there.

He leaves behind his wife Robin (MacInnis), his daughter Brenna E. McGuinness, who has always been his greatest source of pride and the highlight of his life, his 3 brothers, Jay T McGuinness, James F McGuinness and Brendan M. McGuinness and his 3 sisters, Kathleen M. (McGuinness) Graham, Kimberly A. (McGuinness) Greene and Susanne M. (McGuinness) Kling as well as numerous, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Let’s not cry because George is gone…Let’s smile because we had him.

Please join us for A Celebration of Life at the Cathay Pacific 111 Hancock Street in Quincy as we celebrate his short but beautiful life on what would be his 57 th birthday. October 3 rd 2024 at 5:00 pm. A graveside ceremony and burial will take place on Saturday October 5 th , 2024 at 11:00 am at Pine Hill Cemetery on Willard Street in Quincy, we invite close friends and family members to attend.
