Gertrude L. (MacDonald) McAdams

Gertrude (Trudy) L. McAdams passed away November 4, 2023 in Dania Beach, FL. She was the widow of the late John L. McAdams, Jr., originally of Hingham, MA. They were married for 30 years. 

Trudy is the mother of Eileen Grassie and mother-in-law to Paul Grassie of Hingham, MA. She is survived by her siblings, their spouses, nieces and nephews. Ms. McAdams is also survived by adult stepchildren, their spouses and children. She has three great grandchildren.

Trudy was a 22 year veteran of the Massachusetts Army National Guard and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC). Mrs. McAdams taught first grade in the Hanson, MA school system for 12 years. She was a graduate of Bridgewater State College (University) with Bachelor and Master degrees in education.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 5401 SW 64th Ave., Davie, FL. Phone number is 954-581-5293 for the day and time. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA., next to her late husband. The Funeral/Burial service will be private.
