Heather (Black) Landrey of Hyde Park, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at home on October 19, 2025, at the age of 65.
Heather was born in Concord, New Hampshire, the first of two children to George and Marilyn Black.
At 21, Heather began her lifelong career with the Church of Scientology Boston, where she served as Executive Director for over 40 years. During her tenure, she touched thousands of lives, helping people find hope and improve their well-being. Her career was a true reflection of her passion and dedication to helping others—qualities that made her so deeply loved and respected.
It was at the Church that Heather met the love of her life, Edward “Lonnie” Landrey. The two were married in June 1982 and shared 43 wonderful years together. Together, Heather and Lonnie built a beautiful family of five children. She cherished her role as a mother and delighted in sharing stories of her “little babies,” their milestones, and their adventures with family and friends. Each year, her signature Christmas card celebrated the many achievements of her beloved children, a tradition that brought joy to all who received it.
Heather had a zest for life and a love of exploration. She traveled widely throughout the United States, as well as to England, Paris, and Scotland. A talented cook and baker, she found joy in planning holiday meals for her family. She also had a passion for gardening and filled her home with lush plants, both indoors and out.
Heather is survived by her devoted husband, Lonnie Landrey, and their loving family of five children: Gabrielle (Landrey) and her husband Erik Burmeister; Benjamin Landrey; Nicholas Landrey; Alexander Landrey and his wife Melissa; and Timothy Landrey and his wife Sophie. She is also survived by her sister Holle Black and her husband Chris Clement, and her stepsister Eloise Parker, as well as a large and loving extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Marilyn Black.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Saphire Estate, 164 Massapoag Avenue, Sharon, MA 02067.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Way to Happiness Foundation in Heather’s memory.
