Hilary Pike

January 22, 1982 ~ September 22, 2021 (age 39)

Hilary Pike—loving mother of Shane Pike, cherished daughter of Kenneth and Linda Pike, beloved sister of Tim Pike and Wei Rui, and treasured niece of Robert and Catherine Pike—passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Kind, generous, and selfless, Hilary touched the hearts of so many people, from the students she taught throughout her lifelong vocation as an educator to her peers, colleagues, and countless friends, Hilary always put others before herself in the most gracious manner imaginable.

Most importantly, though, she always put her son Shane’s needs first. Whether it was driving him to basketball practices and games throughout the week or working over the summer months to make sure Shane was provided for, Hilary loved her son more than anything in the world.

Hilary’s family and friends will remember her as outgoing, fun-loving, and brimming with smiles day in and out. She will be missed and remembered by so many as someone who inspires kindness and compassion above all else, and her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those whom she has touched.

If you would like to do something in honor of Hilary, do this:

Volunteer at a local school or library.
Tell someone you’re close to that you love them.
Always have hope and follow your dreams.

A celebration of Hilary’s life will take place from 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, September 30 at Lakeside Villa, 550 Monponsett St Halifax, MA 02338. Those who would like to share their thoughts and memories of Hilary may do so. All are welcome to attend. Hilary’s family requests that unvaccinated attendees kindly wear a face covering.

In lieu of flowers, food, and other such condolences, a fund for Shane Pike’s immediate needs and future education has been set up on GoFundMe at
