The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the ceaseless kindness and support provided by caregivers Kellie and Jan, as well as the staff of Southwood at Norwell Nursing.
Howie worked for the MBTA for 25 years and was a member of Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589. Following his first retirement, Howie enjoyed a second career of 32 years with the Boston Public Schools as a bus driver for students with special needs. An avid golfer and runner, Howie completed multiple marathons and enjoyed chess, handball, and sailing, with the trimaran being his boat of choice. One of Howie’s favorite pastimes was camping, spending countless summers in Maine with his friends, children, and grandchildren at Poland Spring Campground.
