Dr. Jai Young Lee, husband, father, grandfather and a dedicated physician for over 35 years passed away on October 3, 2020. He is survived by his wife, 2 children and 3 grandchildren (including one expecting). Jai and his wife Sook immigrated to the US in 1971 after he served in the Vietnam War as a Doctor for the Korean Army. He was the first in his family to attend college and received his medical degree from the prestigious Seoul National University in Korea. Jai was a man of few words who devoted himself fully to his family and friends. He enjoyed walks in the park with his wife, fishing with his son, photography and tinkering with computers. Jai also tutored his children each day to ensure they achieved their greatest academic potential.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jai can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html)
A memorial to celebrate his life is being planned in the coming months in New Jersey.
