James Ralph Chiariello

James Ralph Chiariello, affectionately known as Jim, 74, passed away on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on August 5, 1951, Jim was the beloved son of the late Florence Chiariello and James J. Chiariello.

Jim graduated from Framingham North High School before earning his bachelor’s degree in English and German from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He went on to dedicate many years of his career to General Motors, where he was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Chiariello; his two sons, Stephen Chiariello and Jameson Chiariello; his daughter-in-law, Kathryn Chiariello; and his cherished grandchildren, Evan and Kalli Chiariello, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Above all else, Jim was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first. He especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them forever. He loved traveling with his family, especially to the family’s beach condo in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, where countless memories were made. Jim also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found peace spending time in his backyard, enjoying nature and the simple pleasures of home.

A dedicated father, Jim proudly volunteered as a Boy Scout leader for his sons, helping to guide and mentor not only them but many other young men in the community. He believed in the importance of service, leadership, and spending quality time with family.

Jim will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his quiet strength, his generosity, and the kindness he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless memories they will forever cherish.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at his home:407 Village Street Millis, MA 02054

Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate Jim’s life and the many memories he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jim’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, in honor of his courageous journey with kidney disease.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
