Quincy, MA James F. “Jimmy” Michener was welcomed into God’s Kingdom on Monday, February 24, 2025.
He was the son of the late John L. and Mary Rita (Benjamin) Michener. James worked for Work Inc. for approximately 20 years when he decided to “retire” in the 1990’s.
James loved to go out to eat and get together with family and friends whenever the opportunity presented itself.
James is survived by his sister Joan de Vogel of Wisconsin and his brother Jay and his wife Kathleen Michener of Wakefield, MA also a sister-in-law Mary Joao Michener of Dighton. James is predeceased by two brothers John and Jerome Michener and his brother-in-law Neil de Vogel. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Hamel-Lydon Chapel 650 Hancock Street Quincy from 10:00am-12:00pm followed by burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams Street, Dorchester, MA 02124.
