Jarrod Tracey Obituary

Jarrod Thomas Tracey, 27, of Taunton, formerly of Stoughton, was called home to the Lord on April 26 , 2020.  Loving son of Jennifer McLaughlin-Tracey of West Bridgewater & Thomas Tracey & his fiancé Angelica Sikula of Stoughton. Cherished brother to Patrick Tracey & his partner Tiffany Ceruti of West Bridgewater & Brennan Tracey of Maricopa Arizona. Loving uncle & Godfather to Brooke Tracey of West Bridgewater & Dani “J”, due to enter the world in May. Cherished grandson of maternal grandparents Brenda & John McLaughlin of West Bridgewater, and paternal grandparents Dorothy Tracey of Stoughton & the late Richard Tracey. Godson & nephew to Joan Brookes of Easton & Robert Tracey of Brockton. Jarrod leaves behind his longtime, girlfriend and best friend Emily Hines of Randolph and his loyal and lifetime friend Jacob Teague. Jarrod will be sorely missed and survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Educated in Stoughton Public Schools, Jarrod was most recently employed as a traffic controller for New England Bridge in Norton. He formerly worked for many years with his brothers & father in his family's business, T.R. Tracey & Sons Landscaping in Stoughton.  An avid sports fan, Jarrod spent his childhood and adult years playing baseball, riding dirt bikes, ATVs and snow mobiles, and fishing and playing hockey with his brothers & father on the pond he grew up on. Jarrod did not let his lifetime battle with asthma get in the way of enjoying an active and healthy lifestyle of boxing, running, weightlifting and nutrition.

As a devoted uncle, Jarrod treasured his niece Brooke and embraced every moment with her. He had a vivacious personality and lit up every room with his infectious smile. He was kind, compassionate and funny and made everyone around him feel comfortable and welcome.  As a member of the Catholic faith, Jarrod's life was an example of Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." All who loved him will never forget his wit, charm, welcoming smile and unconditional love.

An animal lover, Jarrod loved caring for the many dogs and cats he and his family adopted over the years. He leaves behind his family dog , Sandie Mae, Emily's dog Cricket, and his 20 year old cat Willow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jarrod's memory to Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, PO 424053, Washington, DC 20042.
