Joanne (Swingle) Hennigan

Joanne S. (Swingle) Hennigan of Quincy entered into eternal life on May 7, 2022.  Wife of the late Edward F. Hennigan Sr..  Loving mother of Edward F. Hennigan Jr. of Harwich, James S. Hennigan of Dennis and David M. Hennigan of Quincy. Sister of the Late Jean Hall. Loving Aunt to Bruce Hall and the late Kathy Hall. Cherished Grandmother of Shawn Patrick Hennigan of Yarmouth, ME and Nichole Marie Hennigan of Attleborough.

In her late 40’s, Joanne completed her bachelor’s degree with a major in English from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Joanne spent most of her life working for the Wright Line, Inc. division of Barry Wright Corp. as an Executive Assistant to the President in Worcester as well as a Mass State Retiree from UMass Medical as a Purchasing Agent in Worcester. She loved many activities but among her favorite included reading, creative writing, gardening, and walking out on Castle Island. Joanne was a member of the Red Hats social club and enjoyed volunteering in her retirement at Interfaith Social Services in Quincy. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service Friday at 12 PM in the Bethany Church, 18 Spear St., Quincy. Visiting hours Friday prior to the service in the Church from 10-12 PM.
