Joseph (Joe) Chernicki, Age 64, of Quincy MA, passed on November 24 2024 after a brief illness. Joe grew up in Houghs Neck where he found his love for the ocean. Upon his request, his ashes will be spread amongst the ocean he loved and spent 35 years working on as a Lobsterman. Joe was a generous and kind hearted man who dedicated many years of his life to raising his daughter, helping to care for her siblings, and most recently caring for his beloved grandson who he loved to take with him wherever he went but especially to the park for hours at a time. He is survived by his mother Joanne Chernicki, his daughter Jennifer Chernicki, his grandson Liam Mulvey, his former wife and best friend Lynne Chernicki, his siblings Theresa, Peter, Frank, John, Tina and Michael and many nieces and nephews. Joe held many titles in his lifetime Son, Brother, Father, Husband, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Lobsterman but no title did he cherish more than Papa.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his Celebration of Life on Sunday December 15 2024 at Coops Bar and Grille at 520 Washington St. Quincy MA 02169 from 12pm-4pm.

Joe will be sorely missed, forever cherished, and remembered for his generosity, kindness, unwavering love and loyalty and his ability to make a friend wherever he went.
