Karl Francis Mills, (Teecus) 90, of Mashpee MA, passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2022 He was predeceased by his wife Delores Grace Mills who passed on June 15th 2022. In life they were together for 72 years, Karl was the son of Ferdinand and Emma O. Mills. They are survived by 6 children, Carlette, Rhonda, Derek, Rodney, Denise and Lavonne, 8 grand children and 18 great grand children. He is survived also by one brother, and many nieces and nephews, to many to count. Karl and Delo weathered many storms in life. His last months he suffered in silence, never complained about much of anything! His daughters visited him frequently not knowing about the seriousness of his medical issues because all he said each time is "how is Ma doing" Karl adored his wife for her nurturing and loving ways and Delores loved how Karl provided for his family as a proud Mashpee Wampanoag man. His children have fond memories of him scalloping and shucking his catch while they, every now and then, got to eat a fresh bay scallop right out the shell, so delicious. He taught his son's so much about fishing and hunting, as well as leaving a legacy of knowledge to his grandsons. Karl also enjoyed raising his beagles, training them to hunt. The kids were always so happy to have beagle puppies to play with, excited to nurture the sick ones! Life was not easy, Karl was a strong willed, private man who took no nonsense, very outspoken, definitely not pretentious!! Later in life he learned some patience and wonderful Bible truths through a study of the scriptures he was so excited to know the "Creator" had a name, Jehovah. His favorite scripture was Psalms 83:18, declaring that true name. Karl and Delo both shared the same spiritual belief right until the day they passed! After his wife's passing he would remind his daughters about the resurrection hope with a strong conviction and always quoted Revelation 21: 3 & 4 saying they all would be together again. His last words to the girls were "When is mom getting here" and as usual they told him, "She's right around the corner dad"
Karl and Delo thanks for showing us endurance and forgiveness! You will be missed!
A zoom service will be scheduled on Sept. 11 at 4 pm. The burial and repast will be private.
