Lauralee (Lucas) Bottary, 70, of Holbrook, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, after a brief illness. Lauralee was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. She was a graduate of Dorchester High School Class of 1972. Lauralee worked several jobs including retail and banking prior to her marriage to John J, Bottary in 1979.
Lauralee and John moved the family from Dorchester to Holbrook in 1995 where she enjoyed walking and shopping. She especially enjoyed her yearly trips to Old Orchard Beach in Maine every summer.
Daughter of the Late Robert and Ruth (Cooper) Lucas. She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, John J. Bottary, Retired Boston Fire Department. Lauralee also leaves behind her two loving sons, Jason Bottary of Holbrook and Michael Bottary of Quincy. She is the adored Grandmother of Nicholas Bottary, Owen Bottary, Olivia Bottary and Isabella McCormack. Devoted sister of Paul Lucas married to Paula of South Boston, Robert Lucas married to Tricia of South Boston, Susan Matchum married to James of Braintree, Paula Mullen married to Michael of Braintree and the late Ruth Ann Lucas. Lauralee is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial visiting hours for Lauralee will be held on Thursday April 3, 2025, from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock Street, Quincy, Ma. Relatives and friends invited.
A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne Massachusetts.
