Leo P. Sullivan

Leo P. Sullivan (70) of Quincy passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on the 13th of March, 2025. Leo fought a courageous battle with esophageal cancer, to which he demonstrated tremendous strength and resilience through-out his year-long battle, inspiring all that knew him with his unwavering spirit. Leo was born in New York City, a graduate of Xavier High School and Fordham University. He moved to Hingham in 1986 and pursued a career in education, working as a teacher in the Quincy and Hull public schools. He also worked for many years as a car salesman. Leo’s lifelong passion in music brought him to share his knowledge in the music field where he taught guitar lessons, worked as a DJ and played in various bands through-out his life. 

Husband of Karen Sullivan (MacLeod), Father of Siobhan Sullivan of NH, Brother of Loretta Lobes and her husband Louis of PA, Christopher Sullivan and his wife Beth of Hingham, William Sullivan and his wife Mary or Worcester and the late Cornelius, Patrick and Mark Sullivan. Stepfather of John Wallace, Marie Wallace, Gail Wallace all of Quincy. Grandfather of Steven and Mathew Wallace of Quincy. Also survived by a large extended family and many wonderful close friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours for Leo, Tuesday March 18, 2025 from 4 – 7 PM at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St., Quincy. The Funeral Services will be private. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Leo’s name to www.musicdrivesus.org
