Lisa Pappas Obituary

Lisa Marie Pappas (Swiencicki), 62, died on September 21, 2022, after a courageous four-year battle with glioblastoma.  Her grace and positive outlook were an example for all those around her as she lived each day to its fullest and never once complained during all her treatments. Her wry sense of humor was a gift she shared generously.

Born and raised in Naugatuck, CT, Lisa was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (Rotatori) Swiencicki. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Waterbury, CT and the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and received her Masters Degree from Lesley University.

She had a long career in banking and corporate training.

Lisa married Lee Pappas in 1988 and they lived in Burlington, MA with their beloved cats and dog.  They loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Alaska, Hawaii and California, as well as many day trips to Maine where Lisa had her favorite lobster.

In addition to Lee, Lisa is survived by her brother, Mark Swiencicki, of San Francisco, CA, and her brother, Paul Swiencicki and his wife, Shari, of Santa Cruz, CA, her niece, Winnie, and nephews, Charlie and Dominic.  She also leaves many friends and co-workers who will miss her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you make a donation to the church or homeless shelter of your choice.

1 Corinthians 15:42 “The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.”

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
