Lois Indursky Obituary

Lois Arlene Indursky age 75 of Westwood, MA

Our dear sister, aunt, and great aunt passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, just one day before her birthday.  She is lovingly survived by her sisters Barbara Mahlowitz and her husband Naaman Mahlowitz of Allston, MA; Ruth Parr and her late husband William Parr of Waltham and Naples, FL; Joan Difuria and her companion Michael Papsin of Kentfield, CA; and her brother Alan Indursky and his wife Susan Robel of Westwood.  Her closest cousin and dearest friend was Joanne Berger of CA.. Lois was cherished by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as she adored each of them in return.

Lois had a passion for ballroom dancing, which included the joy of competition. She also loved going to the gym and taking good care of herself and was especially fond of amusement parks.

After college, she began her career in the rental office at the Brook House in Brookline. Her true calling was her 25 year career in the credit department at Cambridge Lee Industries, where she was known for her remarkable efficiency, dedication, and skill. She was, quite simply, irreplaceable.

In her retirement, Lois generously gave her time as a volunteer at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, transporting patients to their various appointments.

She was a wonderful cook which included her wonderful veal chops and her decadent chocolate cheesecake, which she delighted in bringing to gatherings and celebrations.

Lois will be deeply and forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Judes Hospital.
