Lorraine L. Sinopoli, 82, of Quincy, formerly of Weymouth and Brookline, passed away peacefully in the company of her only sister Diane Sinopoli. She was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Vera Sinopoli, late of Quincy.
Although Lorraine lived out her teenage years in Quincy she loved living out her single adult life in Brookline. She later lived with her sister in Weymouth.
Lorraine graduated from North Quincy High School in 1959 and was then employed at the former Shawmut Bank. Her favorite job by far was with General Cinema Corp. in Newton, where she worked as a Film Biller in the 1980’s. She was also employed as a telephone secretary for a time at the Boston Shelter for Homeless Veterans.
Lorraine loved to travel, and together with her sister traveled throughout Europe -especially Italy- the US and Canada. Being an avid drum and bugle corps fan, she traveled all over the United States to see the Boston Crusaders. She was also a big fan of Tom Brady and the Patriots.
She is survived by her dear sister Diane Sinopoli of Weymouth. Also survived by many Sinopoli and Guerriero cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her visiting hours on Wednesday August 7, 2024 from 10am-12noon at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy, immediately followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 12noon. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd.
