Marian L. Thunell

Marian Lucille Thunell (Harnden), age 96, of Scituate, MA passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020. She was born to the late William and Hildegarde on November 18, 1923 and raised in Medford, MA. She spent many happy years in Chelmsford, MA, Raymond, ME and Bellingham, MA.

Marian was the devoted wife of the late Anvin (Vinnie) Emil Thunell for over 62 years. Marian was also the loving mother to Stephen E. Thunell of Hudson, ME and Susan Thunell Mortelliti and her husband Peter of Scituate, MA.  She is also survived by her six grandchildren with who she shared very special relationships; Peter Thunell and his wife Aimee of Clayton, NC, Christina Mortelliti of Melrose, MA, Julianne (Mortelliti) DiTullio of Reading, MA, Nicolas Mortelliti and his wife Caitlin of Wilsonville, OR, Mariellen Mortelliti of Foxboro, MA, and Melissa (Mortelliti) Sheehan and her husband Kyle of Scituate, MA. Her visits with her seven beloved great-grandchildren brought her immense joy and she delighted in seeing their pictures and retelling stories about them. Marian will also be remembered for being a wonderful friend to those who were fortunate to know her.

At her request, services will be private.
