Mary (Kacoyanis) Brahos of O'Hara Township, PA., formerly of Quincy, MA. born August 15,1922 to John and Helen (Savramis) Kacoyanis in Somerville,MA passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025. Mary was a graduate of The New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, MA. and a member of the Mu Phi Epsilon Honor Society. She performed before many audiences in Boston and the surrounding areas and taught music at the Northeastern and Western Junior High Schools of Somerville. After relocating to the Pittsburgh Area, she substituted in the Fox Chapel Area School District; was choir director at the Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church in Oakmont, PA., organist at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Oakland, PA., and accompany pianist for the worship service at Longwood Senior Care in Oakmont, PA.
Preceded in death by her husband Nicholas G. Brahos, M.D., daughter Helena Brahos and brother George Kacoyanis M.D. Phd. Survived by her son Anthony G. Brahos M.D., niece Helen (Kacoyanis) Balzano D.M.D. of Rye, N.H. and nephew John Kacoyanis D.V.M. of Cape Coral, Fl.
Services will be held at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common St., Braintree, MA. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery Quincy, MA.
