Mary Anna (DiGiambattista) Kingsbury, 93, of Quincy died November 26, 2025 following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of 44 years to the late Robert H. Kingsbury who passed away in 2009.
Born and raised in East Cambridge, she was one of six children born to the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Zaccagnini) DiGiambattista.
Mary worked as a seamstress for many years before marrying Robert and starting their family. The two moved to Quincy and Mary embraced motherhood and the demands of being a homemaker.
Mary was a fan of all New England sports teams but had a special love of the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed reading and listening to the “golden oldies” on the radio.
Mother of Theresa McDonald of Salem, Donna Freitas and her husband David of Carver, Robert Kingsbury, Jr. of Quincy, and Sue Kingsbury of Quincy. Grandmother of six and Great Grandmother of five. Sister of John DiGiambattista of Wilmington and the late: Connie Calvagna, Dan DiGiambattista, Antoinette DiGiambattista and Theresa Tully. She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Freitas, and granddaughter, Darlene Freitas. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visiting Hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited, will be at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy on Thursday December 4, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral and burial will be private.
