Mary Margaret Reilly

Mary Margaret Reilly, 81, of Quincy, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025, following a short stay in hospice care. She was born on April 14, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts to Michael J. Reilly Jr. and Helen M. Reilly (nee Snavely). Raised in a Boston suburb and South Boston, Mary attended South Boston High School where she was an honors student and formed lasting friendships that she treasured throughout her life.

Mary was proud of her Irish heritage and loved hearing and sharing stories about her roots. She enjoyed watching Judge Judy, frequently voicing her opinion on the judgements, and cooking shows, prompting trips for take-out, especially Montilio’s. After working various jobs throughout her lifetime, Mary retired from the Medical Information Bureau in Westwood where she worked for over 20 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her brother William Reilly and survived by her sister and husband Helen and Jerry Tarmey, her two daughters and their husbands, Mary and Daniel Grussgott, Denise and Richard Brereton; grandchildren Julia and Tyler Brereton; her furry feline companion Maddy (Munchie) and an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be private.
