Obituary

Maureen Louise Taylor entered eternal peace at MA General Hospital on Nov 11, 2021 just days after her 52nd birthday, surrounded by family. Known affectionately as “Mo” to her family and friends, Mo was born Nov. 3, 1969 at Cape Cod Hospital, and was a 12th generation Cape Codder. Except for a brief move to Tennessee, Mo lived on Cape Cod all her life. Having a special affinity for the elderly, Mo worked in many different capacities in area Assisted Living and nursing homes. Maureen loved the ocean, specifically Nauset Beach, and spent many wonderful days there walking the shore and four wheeling out on North Beach, collecting beach treasures as she went. A splendid and innovative cook, she loved dining out, but also enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Mo had a special place in her heart for all animals, but especially her pampered adopted rescue cats. Mo also enjoyed decorating her home, especially at Christmas and loved playing all board games. Maureen is survived by her cherished son Ryan Parker of Canton, OH, her beloved mother Kathleen Schade and stepmother Mary Kay Cordill; her beloved father Allen T. “Skip” Schade of Spokane, WA; her beloved brothers Tim Taylor and his wife Kristine of Brewster, MA, and Adam Schade and his wife Coty of Sarasota, FL. Also survived by her niece Jessica Taylor of Malden MA and nephew Keith Taylor of Brewster, MA and her aunts, uncles, and cousins of whom she had so many fond memories. Also survived by her loving partner Rick Hibbs of Harwich. A special thanks to all her friends with whom she shared so many good times. Also, special thanks to the nurses and doctors at MA General ICU for the outstanding care they gave Mo. They are angels on earth. There will be no visitation; a memorial service will be held sometime next spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen’s memory may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Brewster MA or the Harwich Fire Department.
