Melvin Talmadge Terry II

Melvin Talmadge Terry II affectionately known as “TJ”, son of the late Kathelene Burgo and Melvin Talmadge Terry I was born May 21, 1986 in Dallas, TX. He attended Dallas, TX public schools and was a graduate of H. Grady Spruce High School in 2004. TJ was involved in JROTC at Spruce and was recognized as “Who’s Who Among American High School Students his freshman year.

In his early years TJ played Pop Warner football for the Pleasant Grove Trojans at the Salvation Army.

TJ moved to Massachusetts years ago to be closer to his older brother Rodney. He unexpectedly departed this life Saturday, June 4, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathelene Burgo, brother, Glenn R. Tobey, grandmothers, Eunice Terry, Charlotte Burgo and grandfathers, William Terry and Manuel Burgo.

His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: son, Quamel Terry, daughter, Tacherianne Terry both of Dallas, TX; son, Titus Womble of Knoxville, TN; Father, Melvin T. Terry I of Billings, MT; Siblings; Denise Hunt, Tiffany Terry, Melvin Terry III, William Terry, Tyree Terry, and Drew Threadgill of Dallas, TX; Rodney Hunt of Fall River, MA; a nephew that was like a brother DaCorey Hunt of Dallas, TX and a host of devoted aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service honoring TJ will be held in Dallas, TX at a later date.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and deep gratitude for all the expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement.
