Panagiotis "Peter" Antoniou Obituary

Panagiotis "Peter" Antoniou, 74, of Webster, Massachusetts, passed away on June 29, 2026.

Born in Mazion, Greece, Peter was the son of the late Athanasios and Sofia Antoniou. A devoted son, he cared for his parents for many years.

Peter is survived by his brother, Dr. Demetrios Antoniou, M.D., D.M.D., and his wife Margaret of Portland, Maine; his sister, Soula Antoniou and her husband Tom Cardamone of Arlington, Virginia; his nieces and nephew, Sofia Cardamone, Alexa Cardamone, Alexandra Antoniou, Christina Antoniou, and Michael Antoniou; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Peter immigrated to Webster with his family in 1966. Shortly after high school, he co-founded a local restaurant, beginning a lifetime of hard work and entrepreneurship. He later worked as an independent contractor and truck driver before spending many years with JB Hunt and Staples.

In his free time, Peter enjoyed working on his car and following sports. He was a passionate fan of Greek soccer and an enthusiastic supporter of the Boston Celtics and Red Sox, keeping up with player statistics, team news, and the history of the games.
