It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Leo David Kenney, 87, of Quincy, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
Paul was the loyal parent of seven children, Diane Sigren and her husband Dave of West Bridgewater, Denise Kenney of Hingham, Michael Kenney of Tennessee, Debra Kenney of North Carolina, Thomas Kenney and his wife Lisa of Bridgewater, Edward Kenney of Avon and Mariah Kenney of Texas. Paul loved children and was proud to have seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Paul was the cherished son of the late Edward J. Kenney and the late Anna (Feeney) Kenney. Paul was the loving brother of the late Jeanne Neale and the late Joan Kenney. His relationship with his late sisters was filled with so much love, devotion and dedication over the years. Paul was always at their beck and call. Paul would give anyone the shirt off his back regardless if he knew the person or not. His kindness and generosity were over the top.
He had many friends in life over the years but his number one angel as Paul referred to her, was his Maureen. When he introduced Maureen to anyone, he would say, "this is my angel and my everything".
Paul had a heart of gold and lived a wonderful life. Ralph and Lois Cross where wonderful close friends to Paul. He was a High School graduate and furthered his education and received his bachelor's degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology. During his long career with Boston Edison Paul was a buyer and planner.
Paul's passion in life was traveling. He visited all the islands. His favorite was Aruba and St. John. He enjoyed windsurfing at Castle Island in South Boston. Paul will be greatly missed. To know Paul is to love him.
Rest in peace, God is with you, we all love you.
