Philip Sills Obituary

Philip B Sills, age 86, of St Augustine, Florida, passed away at his son’s home in Kingston, MA, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Max Sills and Etta (Berlin) Sills.  Phil often said: “You could take the boy out of Brooklyn, but not Brooklyn out of the boy.”  Phil graduated from the University of Miami and enjoyed working in sales and marketing. 

Phil and his wife Jackie raised their twin sons in the town of Norwell, Massachusetts. Phil enjoyed his family and was an avid tennis player and golfer.  Phil had a creative flair and crafted metal sculptures that dotted his yard in Norwell, oil paintings that are displayed in his home in Florida, and authored several books that were published throughout the years.

Phil was the beloved husband of 42 years to Jackie Crossen-Sills, of St. Augustine, Florida. With whom he loved traveling the world with her, and was the father of Christopher Crossen-Sills of Quincy and Michael Sills of Kingston. He was the father first to June McCauley, Bonnie Sills, and the late Lisa Muhlmann-Theuer. Phil was the beloved husband of 42 years to Jackie Crossen-Sills, of St. Augustine, Florida. With whom he loved traveling the world with her, and was the father of Christopher Crossen-Sills of Quincy and Michael Sills of Kingston. He was the loving and devoted grandfather of Aubrey Sills, Noelle Sills, and Max Sills of Kingston. He became a father first to June McCauley, Bonnie Sills, and the late Lisa Muhlmann-Theuer and grandfather to Rachel, Elizabeth, Frederick, Richard, & Erno as well as great grandfather to David. Memorial contributions may be made in Phil's memory to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle (Suite 326), Plymouth, MA 02360.
