Ricardo Camacho Obituary

Ricardo Alejandro Camacho, 65, of Quincy died on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Massachusetts General Hospital following a long term illness.

Born and raised in Paramonga, Peru. Ricardo was one of four children born to the late Ricardo Camacho Chiri and the late Zoraida de la Puente Gonzalez. He was educated in Peru and immigrated to the United States in the early 1980’s.

Always outgoing and happy, Ricardo would talk to everyone he met and he made many friends by just being friendly. He loved soccer and rooting for his favorite Peruvian home team,”LA U”. As a youth Ricardo played the sport as well, and was a talented Goalkeeper. He also loved going for walks with his wife, Fresia, visiting public parks, and he especially loved to dance at home; a lot. He had an appreciation for salsa music, Oscar de Leon, the BeeGees song “Massachusetts.” Ricardo also was an avid collector of hats, especially tourist-type hats from New York.

He enjoyed his work as well as his coworkers at Boston Scientific in Quincy where he worked as a materials handler for more than 27 years until his passing.

Devoted husband of Fresia Espinoza Villarreal. Loving step-father of Nataly and Corali Ramirez, both of Italy. Cherished grandfather of Nina Arcuri. Dear brother of Pilar Camacho-Perno and her husband Louis Perno of Astoria, NY, Juan Luis Camacho and his wife Carmen Rosa and their son’s, Bruno and Piero all of Lima, Peru. He is the brother of the late Roberto Camacho and his children Ricardo and Patricia. He is also survived by a large and close-knit extended family as well as many dear friends.
