Robert Emmett Casey

Robert Emmett Casey, known as “Bob” to most, of Quincy, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born on October 4, 1955, in Brooklyn, NY, Bob was the son of Jim and Joan Casey. He grew up in a large Irish Catholic family in Garden City, Long Island, and attended Chaminade High School. He went on to study economics at Boston College and later raised his family in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Bob was happiest at the beach watching a sunset, listening to music while cooking, or enjoying a thrilling college sports game.

He is survived by his two children, Shawn Casey and Chris Casey, and his seven siblings: Jim, Pat, Ken, Marianne, John, Jeanne, and Eileen. Bob is also remembered by his former spouse, Bonnie Casey, with whom he shared many years of family life.

His children are grateful to all who offered support during the difficult final chapter of his life and hope he is now at peace.
